Snow has finally stopped falling in most parts of the country. But with spring just a couple of days away, many meteorologists are now predicting a warm, soggy next few months. So if you’re still leaving your vehicle exposed to the elements every day, you may want to consider installing a carport on your property to prevent the sun’s UV rays and heavy rain from wreaking havoc on it.
We suggest starting your search for one by taking a look at the Airwire 10-Foot by 15-Foot Metal Carport, which is currently available at Amazon for well over 50% off its regular retail price. It typically sells for $900, but you can snag one for just $400 right now.
Measuring 10 feet wide, 15 feet long, and just under 9 feet tall at its peak, this carport is heavy-duty enough to protect just about any car, truck, or SUV, along with some boats and other equipment. It features a strong, reinforced steel frame with a matching metal roof that boasts a series of waterproof sealant strips to minimize the risk of leaks. It also weighs over 250 pounds when fully assembled and comes with a set of tough ground stakes to secure it to the ground, making the wind no match for its stability.
Plus, many reviewers have reported that this carport is “easy to assemble,” which is certainly not always the case. While you will need to build it from the ground up, it doesn’t include as many pieces as other options and comes together quickly.
“It’s an excellent carport,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s very solid and stable, and the kit includes everything you need to build it, including driver and drill bits, concrete anchors, and long, heavy-duty nails.”
“Mine just made it through its first winter storm!” another shopper added. “I’m definitely impressed.”
