The 2026 Toyota Corolla in a Nutshell

The Toyota Corolla is the world’s best-selling nameplate of all time. Over 50 million have been made since 1966, and at the rate it’s still selling, there’s no doubt that it’ll hit the 60 million mark soon. 12 generations of the car have been made over the past 60 years, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

The current model was introduced in 2018 for the 2019 model year with the hatchback revealed first. The sedan followed a few months after, making its world premiere in the U.S. Currently, it’s the most seasoned car in its class at eight years old, but it get a couple of updates and upgrades for the 2026 model year. An all-new model or another heavy facelift is expected soon.

2026 Toyota Corolla Lease Deals for March

Toyota doesn’t really offer lease deals for multiple trims on a single vehicle, and the Corolla is no exception. Still, this month’s promo for the Corolla is a good one. It’s for the entry-level LE model, and it goes for $179 for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing.

A rebate worth $500 is also offered for recent and soon-to-be college graduates, and there is also a $500 Military Rebate for qualified U.S. Military Personnel. Mileage is limited to 10,000 per year, and it’s $0.15 for every mile beyond that. This offer is valid until March 31, 2026.

2026 Toyota Corolla Highlights

The Toyota Corolla is offered in six trims with prices ranging from $22,295 to a still reasonable $29,140. It’s an even split between ICE and hybrid models, and the trims are LE, Hybrid LE, SE, Hybrid SE, XSE, and Hybrid XLE. New features this year include blind‑spot and rear cross‑traffic alert for LE and SE trims. A 7.0‑inch digital instrument cluster has also been added to those models.

All models also come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Toyota Safety Sense advanced driver assists. SE and Hybrid SE models ditch the steel wheels with plastic covers for a set of 18-inch alloys, plus additional driving modes and sport seats. XSE gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster plus heated seats, while the Hybrid XLE gets those plus a sunroof.

ICE models use a 2.0-liter with 169 hp and 151 lb.-ft of torque that’s then mated to a CVT. For the hybrids, it’s a 1.8-liter Atkinson Cycle engine with a combined output of 138 hp and shifts with an eCVT. All-wheel drive is an option for the hybrids, making the Corolla the only one in its class to offer that.

Final Thoughts

The GR model aside, the Corolla is far from the most exciting or dynamic choice among its peers. But what it lacks in fun, it makes up for it by building up a trustworthy reputation over the decades. It can and will get you where you need to go without much fuss, and its simplicity is its strength. Affordable lease deals make it a logical and sensible choice for those looking for a ride, and you just know that it’ll just keep on running for hundreds of thousands of miles.
