The 2026 Ram 1500 in a Nutshell

The Dodge badge hasn’t been on Ram pickups for about 15 years now, but that hasn’t dampened the success of Mopar’s full-size trucks. It became a standalone brand in 2010, with the 1500 as the bread-and-butter model.

The current fifth-generation Ram 150 made its world premiere in 2018. The truck received an update in 2024 for the 2025 model year, losing the Hemi V8. Thankfully, that’s been rectified for the 2026 1500. Order has been restored.

2026 Ram 1500 Lease Deals for December

Ram has a special offer for returning lessees this month that lets them lease the 2026 1500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 for less. That model goes for $429 per month for 42 months with $3,999 due at signing. While other trims can be leased, this specific version currently offers a solid deal. Also note that it’s for the one with the 5’7″ bed. Yes, it’s that specific.

Mileage is limited to 10,000 per year, and it’s $0.30 for every mile beyond that. Offer is valid until January 5, 2026.

2026 Ram 1500 Highlights

Typical of any full-size pickup, there are loads of trims, body styles, and bed lengths that can be mixed and matched in the Ram 1500. There are 10 trims on offer, starting with the Tradesman, followed by the Express and Warlock. The middle-spec trims consist of the Big Horn, Laramie, and the Rebel. At the top are the RHO, Limited, Longhorn, and the ultra-luxurious (for a pickup) Tungsten.

For body styles, there is a choice between Quad Cab and Crew Cab. The Tradesman, Express, and Big Horn come with the Quad Cab style standard, but can be specified as a Crew Cab. The rest of the range is Crew Cab only. As for bed sizes, there’s one in 5’7″, and another in 6’4″.

Three engine options are available in the Ram 1500. There’s the mild-hybrid 3.6-liter V6 with 305 hp and 269 lb-ft that serves as the base engine for most. Above that is the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six Hurricane that puts out 420 hp and 469 lb-ft. As mentioned, the Hemi V8 is back, and it’s a mild-hybrid 5.7-liter that’s good for 395 hp and 410 lb-ft, and it’s available for the Warlock and Laramie 4×4 trims. For the top four trims, all have a high-output version of the Hurricane straight-six, making 540 hp and 521 lb-ft.

Final Thoughts

You’re spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a Ram 1500 model. From the word-oriented Tradesman to the plus Limited Longhorn, there’s a 1500 for just about everyone. And while the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado remain sales leaders, the Ram has become the critics’ favorite. If you want to know why, it’s time to take one for a test drive.
