The 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid in a Nutshell

Hyundai’s first true foray into the global SUV market was the Santa Fe. It was originally a compact crossover, but eventually evolved into a midsize three-row model. But while it’s stuck to that formula since, every generation is radically different from another, keeping it fresh and up to date.

The same rings true for the fifth-generation model that was introduced in mid-2023 for 2024. The boxy styling still gets discussions going for better or worse, but what it does is keep buzz alive. Hyundai introduced hybrid power to the Santa Fe line in the previous-gen model, but enhanced it for this generation, further broadening its appeal.

The Santa Fe has always been known for value, and the hybrid version is no exception. Lease deals for the electrified three-row start below $400 for 36 months, and all have due-at-signing prices of $3,999. Starting with the SE FWD, it’s just $379 per month, while the SE AWD is $409 per month. The SEL FWD is $419 per month, while the SEL AWD is $449 per month.

Moving up to the more expensive trims, the Limited is $529 and $559 per month for front-drive or all-wheel drive, respectively. Meanwhile, the Calligraphy models go for $569 (FWD) and $599 per month (AWD), depending on drivetrain. Mileage is limited to 10,000 per year, and it’s $0.20 per mile over. These offers are valid until September 8, 2026.

2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Highlights

As seen above, there are four main trim lines available for the Santa Fe Hybrid, all of which can be specified with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Prices range from $36,400 to $52,600, and the variants are SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy. Standard equipment for all includes advanced driver assists, heated mirrors, a hands-free tailgate, front and rear parking sensors, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluelink+, and an electronic gear selector.

New for 2026 is the value-oriented SE trim. It may be the base model, but it’s already pretty well equipped, especially for its base price of just $36,400. Meanwhile, the SEL gains additional third-row USB ports to keep the devices of the rearmost occupants charged up, while the Limited now comes with heaters for the captain’s chairs and dual wireless phone chargers. As for the Calligraphy, it can now be specified with a Pecan Brown Nappa leather interior.

Regardless of trim, the Santa Fe Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo mated to a single motor. It’s the same arrangement found in the Tucson, as well as its corporate cousin, the Kia Sorento Hybrid. Total output is rated at 231 hp and 271 lb-ft, and it’s the same for both FWD and AWD versions.

Final Thoughts

For those looking for a hybrid three-row crossover, it’s impossible to ignore the Hyundai Santa Fe. Its low base price, high equipment levels, and low lease rates make it a hugely tempting proposition, but there’s more to it than its affordability and value. The Santa Fe is a genuinely good family crossover from the way it rides to its practicality. In this case, its price is the lure, and the rest of it is the cherry on top.
