2025 Toyota Highlander in a Nutshell

It started out as a lower-priced alternative to the Lexus RX, but the Toyota Highlander has since grown into its own thing. No longer directly related to its posher counterpart, it grew from being a two-row crossover to a three-row family bus. And if that’s not enough, there’s now the Grand Highlander for those who need something bigger.

Over the years, the Highlander has become one of America’s favorite midsize crossovers. It has since spawned four generations, with the current one being launched way back in 2019 for the 2020 model year. It’s also known as the Kluger in Australia and the Crown Kluger in China.

For the 2025 model year, it gets a few spec changes. All hybrid trims get all-wheel drive as standard, and Beyond Zero badges have been added to all electrified models. Prices range from $40,320 to $54,475.

2025 Toyota Highlander Lease Deals for November

For November, it’s just one trim that’s available for a special lease rate. That would be the LE 2WD. We have to emphasize that it’s for the 2025 model year Highlander, as there are currently no deals for the 2026 version just yet. The 2026 also gets some spec adjustments, but we’ll get to that later.

This month, the 2025 Highlander LE 2WD can be leased for $449 per month for 36 months with $4,448 due at signing. Those rates are based on 12,000 miles per year, and there is an additional charge of $0.18 for every mile exceeded. This offer is valid until December 1, 2025.

2025 Toyota Highlander Highlights

It’s worth pointing out that the trim for this lease promo will be discontinued by the end of the year. Toyota has simplified the model grades for the 2026 model year, trimming them down from ten to seven. It’s still a lot to cover, though.

Going back to the 2025 model, it starts with the LE, followed by XLE and XSE. Above those are the Limited and Platinum models that sprinkle in more luxuries and convenience features. As for the hybrid-powered Highlanders, there are also five to choose from, namely Hybrid XLE, Hybrid XLE Nightshade, Hybrid Limited, Hybrid Limited 25th Anniversary Edition, and Hybrid Platinum.

For the non-hybrid trims, those use a 2.4-liter turbo engine with 265 hp and 310 lb-ft, while the hybrids come with a 2.5-liter mill mated to two motors and a 1.9 kWh battery. That arrangement is good for a combined output of 243 hp.

As mentioned, all-wheel drive is standard on the hybrids and optional for ICE-powered versions. That said, all Highlanders will be all-wheel drive-only for the 2026 model year.

Final Thoughts

With the LE trim gone by the end of the year, 2025 will be your last chance to get this model that starts at just a hair over $40,000. The discontinuation of the LE means the XLE takes up the slack, and base prices rise to about $45,000. While it’s the entry-level model, it’s already pretty well equipped, with advanced driver assists standard, plus wireless phone connectivity, to name a few. It also offers great value, room for eight, and (probably) years of reliable motoring to come.
