College is the perfect time to explore new ideas and ways of doing things. That is why Autoblog is granting anyone enrolled in an accredited university or college, or any recent graduate, free admission to UPSHIFT 2016.

What is UPSHIFT? It's a meeting of some of the top minds in self-driving technology, cyber security, infrastructure and design. Panelists from every corner of the industry will come together at the Rusas Printing building in Detroit, Michigan on October 6 to discuss the future of transportation. Featured speakers include Bret Greenstein, VP of IBM's Watson, Internet of Things. Watson powers Olli, Local Motors' autonomous minibus. Also speaking is, Karl Iagnemma, the CEO and founder of nuTonomy, the company that just earn the title of first self-driving taxi service in the world. They and other leaders in their fields will discuss their exciting visions of the future of mobility.

To attend simply send a copy of your current transcripts showing your current enrollment status and a copy of your university identification card to events@teamaol.com. If you graduated this spring you can send your student ID, transcript and confirmation of graduation. Once you're approved, you will be provided instructions on how to complete your registration. Non-college students can still buy tickets at a reduced rate.
