Last year, the BMW i8 took top honors for being a complete car that housed several forward-thinking new technologies. With that in mind, we're doing things a little different this year. Rather than issuing one award, we're splitting the honor into two categories: individual technology and complete car.
In order to be eligible for the award, the technology or car must be on sale or available to consumers by January 1, 2016. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, during a press conference at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Without further ado, here are the finalists for the 2016 Autoblog Technology of the Year award.
