Fresh Pepper: Facelifted Cayenne Spied

British car mag Auto Express snagged spy shots of the updated Porsche Cayenne that's coming later this year. While the bodywork remains generally unchanged, a new front fascia and a mildly revised rear are in the cards for Stuttgart's SUV.
In front, new headlights take up residence above a revised bumper that now features round integrated foglights (as opposed to the square supplemental lights on the current car). The front overhang is lower, too, increasing pedestrian safety while simultaneously improving the overall look.

In back, the most noticable change is the new, more rounded taillamp shape. This particular change is welcomed, as it helps alleviate some of the blandness that afflicts the current car's rear end. They could have (or maybe should have) gone even further, but for that, it looks like we'll have to wait for the next redo. What appears to be a new rear bumper better integrates the exhaust outlets and finally, a new roof spoiler has been added to the mix.

The official unveiling later this year will show us how the new Cayenne stacks up against its cousins, the VW Touareg and Audi Q7, in the looks department. These changes, though subtle, should help quite a bit.
