Hyundai is preparing to reveal the facelifted 2013 Genesis Coupe, and we now have what is perhaps our best look yet at the updated car's Veloster-ified front fascia thanks to the folks over at Hyundai-Blog. We won't see the final design until closer to the car's 2012 Detroit Auto Show debut in January, but after plenty of camera phone shots and spy photos, we have no reason to believe that things will change much from what you see here.

As we've reported many times before, it's pretty safe to assume that the 2013 Genesis Coupe will use the updated, direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 that's available in the Genesis Sedan, producing 333 horsepower. We're confident that the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four will also carry over, and we can't help but cross our fingers that Hyundai found some way to shoehorn the big 5.0-liter, 429-hp V8 under the coupe's sleek hood, however unlikely that might be.

Still looks too Tiburonish and Hoonish for my taste, even though I'm sure it's a great car. Why are they so stubbornly keeping that rear window dip thing? It's not an asset to the overall design to my eye and it too looks too 1st Gen Tiburon.

This is NOT a real view of Gencoupe. it's photoshoped image. His nickname is "몽구보고있냐" and he says "It's photoshoped picture of my own work ^^"

Hey, that's a fan-made image. The watermarked Korean in the center of the pic says "몽구보고잇나"and it can be translated as "Do you see (how great my work is ), Mon-gu?" (Mon-gu is the name of the CEO of Hyundai Motor company.) It is obviously a fan-made image based on blur, dark phone-pics leaked from the factory. (You can google those pics and it is also posted in Autoblog several days ago.)

I'm still waiting for it to have a lift-back like the Tiburon did.

They should throw the sonata turbo engine in this.

I'm 40 (and prob not the target demographic of this car anyway) but I'd consider owning the current car...This one is too aggressive/boy-racer for me. I wanted them to tweak the front (back already looks great) but not in this direction. Hopefully it looks better in person.

Thank God they changed that cheap looking grille.

I'd rather build up the 2.0 Turbo myself......

The face lift doesn't look that bad, but I still think that the current gen Genesis front looks much better.

Why the hate considering that this not an actual picture of the car?
