Heico Sportiv reworks the 2011 Volvo S60 – Click above for high-res image gallery

We got a glimpse of it not long ago in renderings, now Heico Sportiv has taken its retuned 2011 Volvo S60 to the track and brought us some souvenirs of the day. Changes are restrained yet aggressive outside, with added front lip components and a rear diffuser that wraps around four tailpipes, in addition to a set of attractive gunmetal Volution wheels.

Under the hood is where the real oomph resides, with power outputs hitting the 297 horsepower and 258 pound-feet in the 2.0T, and 330 hp and 339 lb-ft. in the T6. In the T6 model, that will get you from naught to 62 miles per hour in 5.8 seconds. Follow the jump for all the details and to see it in motion, and have a look at the gallery of high-res photos below.

The new Volvo S60 by HEICO SPORTIV

The new Volvo S60 is dynamic and sporty. The new Volvo S60 is not chivalrous, the new Volvo S60 is sexy. HEICO SPORTIV enhances the Volvo driving experience, adding additional seasoning in the form of meticulously composed ingredients.

Even at a glance, it becomes immediately apparent that HEICO SPORTIV has just the right ingre-dients to stimulate all the observer's senses! The front view already indulges the onlooker with clear contours thanks to a two-part front spoiler. "We've given the Volvo S60 the expressiveness which potential owners of such a dynamic vehicle crave for," explains HEICO SPORTIV General Manager, Holger Hedtke.

The front spoiler is mounted on the original bumper and melts seamlessly into the entirety of the Volvo S60's contours. The design element made of low-weight, flexible polyurethane plastic (PUR-R-RIM) fulfills the latest pedestrian protection guidelines.

At the back, the PUR-R-RIM rear skirt in diffusor look cites the form of a diffusor, faithfully enfolding the left and right oval end-pipes of the quad outlet exhaust system. As an optional add-on, HEICO SPORTIV also offers a matching carbon inlay. For vehicles with the original rear skirt, a dual-pipe exhaust variant is available in the familiar "left-right arrangement".

Manifold innovation under the hood.
The essential ingredients, however, are the ECU upgrades offered by HEICO SPORTIV. With the D3/D5 diesel engines, these are implemented by reprogramming the engine control unit, with gasoline engines by means of e.motion.

HEICO SPORTIV e.motion stands for "efficiency in motion" and describes an additional engine control unit that, thanks to straightforward plug & play technology, can be quickly installed and enabled by any authorized HEICO SPORTIV partner – worldwide!

Thanks to e.motion, the Volvo S60 2.0T generates a colossal 47 bhp more than its series-produced counterpart (currently 250 bhp/184 kW) and a maximum torque of 350 Nm (additional 50 Nm).

In the 4-wheel drive version of the Volvo S60 T6, the engine power is boosted to 330 bhp (243 kW) and 460 Nm, allowing the top-of-the-range model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds (series version: 6.5 seconds) and reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h (electronically capped). Naturally, all HEICO SPORTIV ECU upgrades fulfill the rigorous Euro 5 emissions classification standard. Further tuning programs for the T3, T4 and T5 engine variants are under development.

Diversified menu to choose from.
HEICO SPORTIV sees itself as a fully integrated supplier able to fulfill the customer's every wish. The "S60 menu" is finished off with sport springs, the 18"-20" VOLUTION® sport wheel program and aluminum interior add-ons (pedal set, footrest and gear shift knob).

The products will be deliverable from the time of the official market launch on September 18, 2010.

Yay! A cross ripoff of the new E-Class and the Lexus GS!

This actually makes the S60 really sexy. I didn't really consider the S60 a true contender to the products coming from Germany and Japan, but this is really nice looking. Volvo should use this as ideas for the S60R.

One of my favorite tuners. It's never something overblown and gaudy, it always seems to be understated, handsome improvements.

Heico Sportiv needs to brought under the Volvo umbrella. Like Mercedes Benz did with AMG in 1999. They know exactly how to tune a Volvo.

That exhaust note gave me goosebumps! I wasn't expecting that sound - awesome!

+1 - They kept it clean and it sharpens up the look too. Also hard to hear over the music, but that exhaust sounded pretty good.

Thanks for letting us know. I'll check it out. Not much of a Volvo fan, but I wasn't much of a Dodge fan either, until I bought an SRT-4. Hope it has a better future than that late, lamented Dodge did.

Is it me or does it seem not that fast from 0-60 secs. at "5.8 seconds" with a 330hp engine. Is the car that heavy with the AWD?
it is the 0-100km/h (62mph) not 0-96km/h (60mph) time.. german manufactor or tuner are always on the carefull claiming side..
