Lexus CT 200h – Click above for high-res image gallery

It was just last week that Lexus dropped all the details on its upcoming new CT 200h (click here to refresh your memory), and now, as promised, the Japanese automaker has officially unveiled the hybrid hatchback at the Geneva Motor Show. Naturally, we snapped off a series of live photos for your viewing enjoyment.

Interestingly, though Lexus has yet to confirm what markets the CT will enter, our men on the scene report back, "Lexus executives were adamant about a near-simultaneous global launch a year from now. In their own words, the United States and Japan will receive the CT 200h, even if it was developed as an euro-centric model. First deliveries should begin in Q1 2011."

Until we get official confirmation on that point from Lexus, take that information and file it firmly in the rumormill folder, but it could mean good things to come for those interested in a fuel efficient premium hatchback to go up against Audi's diesel-powered A3. Stay tuned, there's plenty more on the way live from the show floor in Switzerland.

i agree with whoever said this will look dated fast (probably because it looks like the IS to me). should've been released long ago.

i liked the dark interior in the first photos, but it looks more like a lighter gray. i'll pass.

This is a Lexus? Toyofail once again...

Its side profile is very "Venza-ish".

      Hey, another Lexus post.

Time for another round of unbridled bashing courtesy of zamafir.
So when zamafir bashes lexus, its ok. Yet when I criticize an Audi or the interior/exterior of any car I get rated low? Zamafir, I say bash all you want.

mnmlist, you might get downranked for double-posting here.

Life isn't fair. Zamafir is our Lexus-bashing overlord.

And I occasionally get downranked for my testicles.

My bad for the double post. Its this dumb comment system. So zam doesn't like lexus. He's free to express that in an open forum such as this.

+1 on the Toyota Matrix - Pontiac Vibe observation.

Lexus isn't even trying with with the hybrids. If they can make the RX350 look different than the Highlander, this should be easy. But then I forget, most people will only care that it's a Lexus.

This is a pretty low-rent looking vehicle to be carrying the Lexus badge. It looks more like a Scion - and would be more believable if it was a Scion - but it definitely doesn't look like a luxury car.

This car had potential but it's final execution leaves me underwhelmed. Don't take me wrong, I'm not just trying to bash Lexus but if we are all honest with ourselves, there is a LOT of Mazda 3 (5 door) and Matrix in this design. I wanted this to be the car I've been looking for and the design, combined with the lack luster drive train leaves me looking elsewhere.

This thing will have 10 recalls before it even hits the market!

      JK :P

This is to compete with the beautifully proportioned A3 TDI? It looks like a Corrola mated with a Mazda 3 and out popped this stupid Lexus. Barf.
I'd take this over ANY Cadillac or Lincoln!
I see your comment is now rated at half a star. By commenting "over ANY Cadillac", were you omitting the CTS-V from that statement? Or are you really posting a comment on an auto enthusiasts site stating that you would take this Lexus Impreza hatchback Prius over a CTS-V?

IDK I see A LOT of Matrix/Mazda 3 hatchback in the design.
