Chevrolet Volt Dance - Click above to watch the video after the break

"E for electricity, V for Chevy Volt and me..." Catchy little diddly, sure. But we were mostly willing to let the Chevrolet Volt song make the deep, dark trek into obscurity with nary another mention. That is, until today. What made us change our tune, you ask? Boy, are you in for a treat.

Witness the Chevy Volt dance. Yes, it is an official routine apparently commissioned by GM. Showgoers that meandered near the GM area at the LA Auto Show may already be familiar with this little number, but the video's just too good not to share with the rest of the class. We especially like it when the four-person crew stops whatever they're doing to throw us an "E" and a "V."

Trust us. You owe it to yourself to click past the break and watch the video. Here's hoping The General antes up to send these dancers around the country for the rest of the auto show circuit.

Ok, scary. In other, much more banal news: "diddy" is what you mean to say. "Diddly" is either a) something you don't know or b) a flanderism.

        Actually, it's "ditty".

I couldn't get through it. Must be the same marketing team that Microsoft uses.

So this is what Whitacre is doing with tax payer dollars?

Hmm, let's see: lame, G-rated cheerleader choreography, outfits and hairstyles from 1989, a song that sounds like something out of a children's department store, and a freestyle dancer who is probably hoping to spin fast enough to bore into the floor, hit a wire, and become electrocuted.

wasn't Lutz in charge of Marketing when this was dreamed up?

This is rather disturbing! And yet GM has their slogan "May the best car win." Plus this Volt thing is getting tiring...just sell the dang thing already! Put it into the market and see if the market buys the car against the Prius and the other hybrids out there. Seriously GM if you think you have the best hybrid out there then stop all these shenanigans.

GM... its over... close shop... please... this is like a dance to get money on a corner, lol

This world is becoming the movie, "The Running Man."

We got Obama for a Prez.

A car that cost 4 billion to develop which sells for 45k and when factoring in everything, is no cheaper than a honda civic to own. (Virgin Atlantic built there space plane for only million)

Shall I continue? I think you can see how nothing makes sense any more and anything can be marketed and right vs. wrong is out the window!

At least the "never seen" EV1 commercials were kind of cool. Come on GM are you trying to kill the EREV all over again? its got 8 lives left just so you know.
