The espionage "artists" at AutoSpies weaseled their way onto the New York Auto Show floor before the official press days kick off and snapped a singular shot of the Acura ZDX crossover ahead of its official unveiling tomorrow morning. Acura's X6-fighter looks slightly less menacing than the teasers suggested, and the silver hue does an admirable job of integrating Acura's new corporate grille into the jacked-up hatch's shape. All the official details – including production dates and drivetrains – will be revealed tomorrow at 11 AM EST, but expect the basic shape to carry over when the ZDX goes on sale this fall.

      Am I the only one that actually likes the shield on this car?

      It may be the lighting...

        @Kumail
        this is the one car in which the acura shield looks appropriate

        i like it too.

        i think Acura's design language is maturing.

        this would go great with a new integra

        It doesn't look that bad. One application of the increased ride height is protecting the car from damage on crappy streets (such as New Orleans').

        Best application of grill so far...

      Thinking about trading my LexusLS460 (2007) and getting a ZDX. If I can get four sets of golf clubs in the back, it's a done deal. I heard you have to take out the side panels. Mileage isn't as great as my 460, which is an "8" and I get around 25-26 on the road. Any comments?

      It sits too low to the ground to look SUVish and it needs a bit more agreesion to the styling. It needs a few tweaks but it will sell to women I guess.

      I gotta admit, it is not as bad as i thought it would be. Looks better than the X6 but i still think its headed for failure.

      Doesn't anyone else see Euro 5-door Civic here? I'm wondering if this isn't just an Acura'd Civic, unless it's way bigger, which it'd have to be, if it's meant to be X6-like in size.

      I actually like this... Design language fits here to the overall shape of the car and it's consistent, unlike Acura's current "refreshed" line-up.

      how did they graft the 370 tail onto a tsx?
      • 5 Years Ago
      Truly awful.

      I think just about every high school freshman has drawn something with that same profile. Highly unimaginative.

      I'd take an Aztec (a later one without the plastic cladding) over this. The Aztec just needs a new nose to be a decent looking and useful vehicle, the ZDX needs a total redesign to be either.
