The ads that get your lasting attention are the ones that make you respond. And we have no doubt that's exactly what you'd do if while cruising down the boulevard you happened upon what looked like an impact crater. When Pioneer Suspension wanted to show off the extraordinary smoothness of its ride, it placed images of holes on the road, which prompted folks to slow down and then... they didn't feel them. A few yards up the road they found out why: because that's what a Pioneer Suspension feels like. Clever, if not a giant potential lawsuit waiting to happen. And we can't help thinking that if Pioneer did this in the U.S., someone with a Pioneer suspension would try driving through a sinkhole and then wonder how they ended up at the center of the Earth.

So Bose made a suspension and now them? So who's next Denon?
SPG @ Mar 26th 2008 7:10PM
Bose or Pioneer, either one.
I just want it.
FThorn @ Mar 26th 2008 7:11PM
Yeah, bose did it first. Neener neener. :)
Next, THX-certified suspension.
Only thing I'd like to see related to cars and speakers is DL suspension.
User @ Mar 27th 2008 1:26AM
A THX suspension would be sweet if it made that loud "dwooooooooo" noise when you turn on the car.
stang_fan @ Mar 26th 2008 7:19PM
Wow, I don't care what you are driving...those look like some axle busting holes. I'd sue a city that wasn't fixing something like this in a timely manner.

Those apparently are graphics that they had applied to the road. They are not real potholes.
I actually had a thought recently marketing on the roads or on the concrete guard rails. Still tons of good marketing areas out there.

Apparently you have not visited the fine state of Pennsylvania.

I guess you did not read the article.
tekdemon @ Mar 26th 2008 7:41PM
lol, some idiot is going to swerve into oncoming traffic because of these and sue Pioneer.
Eric Biran @ Mar 26th 2008 8:41PM
Yeah, my first thought was "What a great and unique advertising idea," followed instantly by, "I'd probably swerve around them only be exposed to added risk in the name of ad space."
Send all complaints to: Pioneer via stamped and addressed brick, which you should feel free to toss in their general direction.
paul34 @ Mar 26th 2008 8:48PM
If you put this in the US, there would instantly be hundreds of rear-end collisions as the first person slams on their brakes, and the fatass in the fatass SUV behind them, obviously tailgating, also slams into them because they cannot stop their 3 ton vehicle in 2 feet. Rinse and repeat x 10000

You people do realize that this is Pioneer Suspension of India...NOT Pioneer Electronics of Japan!
So no, it's not some fancy dancy electro-magnetic suspension like the Bose one =P

Its a fake. Visit the read link, enlarge the picture and you'll see that the picture where the guy is putting the sticker. Its a bad cut and paste job.
Besides, think about it. What glue could hold such a big sticker on such rough roads. Its a good concept though.
