Wall Street Journal retells Z06 web fiasco

On the front page of the Marketplace section of today’s Wall Street Journal there is a large story retelling how GM
lost control of the release of the all-new Corvette Z06. The big revelation is that after AutoWeek ran a cover story on
the entire mess including GM sending security staff to web denizens that posted early photos they were scolded. How?
They will not be getting a shiny silver Z06 for a photo shoot (or review I’d guess). But most of the troubles were
really GM’s fault as GM spokesman Terry Rhasdigan explained the popular Yellow Z06 photos were inadvertently put on a
website that wasn’t secure by a third party vendor. “That was our extended family’s error. It’s an unforgiving thing,
the Internet.” Quote of the week right there folks.

Update: Here’s a link to the
story. Thanks to starlightmica for the tip.
