The
Top Gear crew is having one heck of a week. Between
Chris Evans
announcing his departure, to Matt LeBlanc
allegedly stepping into the role of lead host, it’s been a tumultuous time. Now
Chris Harris is getting his own show on BBC America. The seven-part TV series will premiere on Monday, July 11 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and will be called
Chris Harris on Cars.

Harris was arguably one of the best parts of the new
Top Gear. According to BBC America, the TV show will be just like Harris’ YouTube show where the enthusiast drives – mainly in a massive cloud of smoke – and gives in-depth reports on sports cars. There’s no word on whether the new TV show will interfere with Harris’ new
Topgear.com online series,
which premiered last month with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.

In a
press release, Harris stated, “if wanton tire destruction, powerslides and continuous drooling over the world’s fastest and most expensive road racers like the Porsche 911 GT3RS or the Aston Martin GT12 is your thing – you could do considerably worse than watch me put them through their respective paces on track and road on BBC America.”
