Paris launching citywide bike rentals (and they're cheap!)

On July 15th, the city of Paris will launch a city-wide twenty-four-hour-a-day bike rental service. The program will start with 750 rental stations with 10,000 bicycles. People visiting the city can get a five-day pass allowing them to pick-up from and return bikes to the stations for €5 (US$6.73) or get a one day pass for €1 (US$1.35). Anyone planning to stick around or visit the city regularly can get a one year pass for €29 (US$39).
