It seems the rest of the world knows what most Americans don’t; Mazda makes fun to drive cars. Today Mazda Motor
Corp. announced a 68 percent rise in profits for the first half of 2004. Most of the success is due to strong sales in
Europe where the Mazda 3, or Axela, is very well received by consumers. Mazda is also gaining ground in Asia but the
company failed to sell more cars in the U.S. then it had the year before despite new models like the 3. I blame this
failure solely on poor advertising and awareness of the new offerings here in the states. Everyone else seems to get
it.
Mazda sales surge everywhere but U.S.
