The realities of the economy have taken another bite out of the Detroit Auto Show as Honda has decided not hold a press conference. Unlike Nissan and Mitsubishi, Honda won’t be pulling out entirely. The production version of the new Insight will be appearing on the show floor with the rest of the lineup and Honda executives will be on hand to talk to the media. Honda is just forgoing the expense of have a stage, chairs and lighting and sound set up. Like Nissan, Honda will also take a pass on a press conference the following month at the Chicago show.
