It wasn’t a keyboard slip when Ford Motor President Jim Padilla started typing in all caps while discussing quality
issues in a live online question-and-answer session with employees Monday.
The Detroit News obtained a copy of the
transcript and Padilla was not happy about Ford’s lagging quality. “Our competitors are moving faster than Ford to
improve their quality and we need to TURN THIS AROUND NOW.” This comes as the industry waits for the other
“quality” survey to be released today, J.D. Power and Associates’ 2005 Initial Quality Survey. We guess Ford
didn’t perform as well as they predicted in the survey. Autoblog will have the results when they are released.
Keep checking here.
