Unless you are a regular driver on the roads of Iraq, this isn’t
exactly your average automotive news story. But, if you’re one of our brave soldiers trolling Iraq in your Army issued
Humvee, or family to one of those brave soldiers, then this is probably amongst the best pieces of automotive news
you’ve gotten in a while. The U.S. Army has contracted Armor Holdings, Inc., a company that refits and armors U.S.
military vehicles, to produce 100 more armored Humvees per month. Of course, this moves come on the heels of the U.S.
soldier questioning Donald Rumsfeld in regards to the shortage of armor for military vehicles on Iraq. Coincidence?
Draw your own conclusions, I’m not about to get into a political debate, after all this is Autoblog. I’m just happy to
see that more of these vehicles are being built and are going to make it to our soldiers who need them.
