A coalition of Ford dealers and employees of cash, in-kind contribution and
vehicles has raised over $4 million for Hurricane Katrina relief. The really big check is set to be
presented to the American Red Cross, who will also benefit from borrowing some of Ford’s national advertising
time. Ford Motor Company itself has pledged $1 million to disaster relief organizations in matching
contributions, and the company has said it will donate 160 vehicles to aid in the relief effort.
