Al Ver, Ford’s current vice president of advanced manufacturing and engineering, has been
named CEO and COO of a new entity set up by Ford to managed the 24 Visteon facilities transfered to Ford’s care. Ver’s
task is to prepare most of the facilities for sale to other entities with the resources to operate the plants for Ford.
Visteon and these plants are an important part of Ford’s supply chain, and failing to rescue Visteon would cost Ford
big time.
