Ford is recalling nearly 260,000 vehicles to fix safety defects that include the stalling of diesel engines.
The stalling problem affects F-Series SuperDuty and E350 and E450 vans as well as Excursions from the 2004-2005
model years. These vehicles that are equipped with the 6.0-liter diesel account for 180,104 of the nearly 260,000. The
rest of the recall affects 2005 Superduty pickups and chassis cabs equiped with 5.4-liter or 6.8-liter gasoline
engines. 78,675 SuperDuty trucks are being recalled because their fuel line may seperate from the main bundle and cause
engine stalling, fuel leakage, or even fire.
