Ford allowed to refuse sales to police forces that are suing them

14 incidents have been reported in which Police Interceptors have had fuel tank fires after being rear-ended, prompting affected and non-affected police forces to hit Ford with a class-action lawsuit. However, some of these police agencies participating in the lawsuit are still attempting to procure the supposedly dangerous Crown Vics from Ford, and then getting all pissy when Ford declines to sell them any. It has now been determined (by an actual judge) that Ford is legally permitted to refuse car sales to the agencies that are suing them. Finally, justice in action. Ford’s lawyers argue that the presented numbers account for only .01 percent of the Crown Vic Interceptors on the road today, which I guess means they think it’s acceptable that some of their client’s cars burst into flames during accidents.
