Almost one-third of homeowners rent self-storage units these days after running out of room for their stuff. If you’re on the verge of following their lead, why not skip the monthly storage fees and invest in a big backyard shed instead?

The Netaje 8-Foot by 12-Foot Resin Storage Shed might give you sticker shock at first, as it regularly retails for $2,200 at Walmart. But as part of a flash deal, it’s marked down to $1,200 right now, making it a much more budget-friendly option. And since a self-storage unit often costs at least $100 per month on average, this shed could pay for itself within the first year.

Pros

  • Weather-resistant construction prevents cracking, fading, and leaking
  • Spacious design offers plenty of storage space
  • High-strength flooring, window, and vents prevent moisture problems

Cons

  • Challenging assembly process requires at least two to three people
  • 521-pound finished product presents portability issues
  • Limited color options may impact aesthetic appeal

This shed measures about 91 inches wide, 142 inches deep, and 92.5 inches tall at its peak, giving you well over 600 cubic feet of storage space. It also features heavy-duty resin construction, virtually guaranteeing you won’t have to stress about moisture working its way in and causing water damage to your things.

This shed also goes the extra mile when it comes to keeping moisture out, using its included floor, window, and vents to promote better air circulation, minimizing moisture in the process. Plus, it has a pair of lockable doors to keep everything inside secure, and a roof supported by sturdy beams, giving it more than enough strength to deal with any snow and ice that might build up despite its sloped design.

“It’s easy to assemble and a great shed overall,” one reviewer wrote.

Another added, “It’s absolutely perfect.”
