While Amazon is almost always offering at least a few amazing deals on power tools, batteries, and more from Craftsman, DeWalt, and Milwaukee, discounts on Makita products are decidedly harder to come by. Outside of the occasional sale involving a cordless multi-cutter or a work light, prices on Makita products don’t seem to be marked down in the tool brand’s Amazon store very often. It’s why we suggest acting quickly if you spot worthwhile Makita sales, since they don’t happen on a regular basis and typically don’t last long.
We also suggest taking a closer look at the Makita bit sets available at Amazon the next time you need drill and driver bits. Makita is known for making some of the toughest, longest-lasting bit sets in the business, and while they don’t go on sale all that often, either, they’re usually sold for low everyday prices. The Makita 100-Piece ImpactX Driver Bit Set, for example, is one of the largest bit sets in the brand’s collection, and you can purchase it for just $33 at Amazon.
Audience FavoriteMakita’s ImpactX line has been around for nearly a decade, but it continues to wow those who put its impact-rated bits to the test. This particular ImpactX bit set includes 75 1-inch Phillips, slotted, square, and Torx insert bits in assorted sizes. It also features 23 2-inch power bits, a magnetic insert bit holder, and a 1-3/4-inch magnetic nut driver to round things out.
All of these bits are constructed from high-quality S2 steel and undergo a carefully calibrated heat-treating process to deliver greater strength and durability. They also boast precision-machined tips designed to provide a tighter fit, reducing cam-out and helping you to tighten and loosen fasteners more efficiently.
Additionally, Makita tops off this top-of-the-line set by packaging all its bits in a sturdy 12-inch case. They’re stored individually in special “bit keepers” that rotate 90 degrees, making them incredibly easy to remove and replace.
Reviewers have routinely praised the bits in this set for being “resilient,” even going so far as to say that they last significantly longer than similar bits from other well-known tool brands. “These bits are highly durable and offer great quality,” one reviewer wrote. “I’ve been using them over the last couple of months, and during this same stretch, I would have gone through three times as many DeWalt or Milwaukee bits by comparison.”
“It’s a great all-around set,” another shopper added. “It has every bit you would ever need, including duplicates of the most commonly used sizes. It even has a few spaces in the case for any extra bits you may want to add.”
