In the bad old days, lighting up your backyard meant running wires to every corner of your lot and then trying (and probably failing) to avoid hitting them while mowing the lawn. Solar lights made that hassle a thing of the past, and right now Walmart has a well-reviewed quartet of very bright solar lights on sale with a big discount.
A 4-pack of the Irtto Solar Street Lights is on sale for $25 at Walmart, 50% off its normal $50 price tag. These lights are meant to be mounted higher and spread light over a large area, so four should be enough for the average backyard, making this one of the most transformational $25 you’ll ever spend on outdoor space.
50% OffPros
- IP67 waterproof and made of durable ABS
- Wide beam angle illuminates a large area
- Battery can provide power for up to 12 hours
Cons
- Requires 6 to 8 hours of sunlight each day to charge
Each of these lights is a fairly sleek panel with a high-efficiency 5.5V/2.5W solar panel on top and a 72-LED array and sensitive PIR motion sensor on the bottom. It’s made of high-impact ABS material and is IP67 waterproof and engineered to withstand bad weather. The lights shine over a 270-degree area while the motion sensor can detect movement across a 120-degree range from 3 to 5 meters away. Each light can be set to three different modes: on all night, half bright to full when motion detected, and off to on when motion detected.
One customer wrote, “At first, I thought the small size of these lights would mean limited coverage — but I was completely wrong!” Despite their 8.66-inch by 6.29-inch dimensions, they “provide excellent coverage.” Plus, “the motion sensors are extremely accurate.”
Another shopper called these lights a “great product” with “quick and easy installation.” They “work beautifully” mounted over a door and set to detect motion.

Dark backyards are no match for the Irtto Solar Street Lights, very bright lights that are easy to install with solid motion detection to boot. Some quick math tells us that a 4-pack for $25 means they’re about $6 each, a tiny price to pay to make your whole backyard safer and usable after the sun sets.
