Using a reciprocating saw to demolish a wall has an undeniable destructive appeal, but so does using a miter saw to make perfect, precise cuts at specific angles over and over again. If you’ve got a job on the horizon that demands that kind of precision — cabinetry, trim, flooring, and furniture work come to mind — don’t miss your chance to grab this DeWalt saw, the top selling miter saw on Amazon, with a steep discount.
The DeWalt Double Bevel Compound Sliding Miter Saw is on sale for $449 at Amazon, 33% off its normal $669 price tag. Over 1,000 people have bought it in the last month, likely due to the sterling reputation of the brand and the stacked feature set this saw offers.
Rare DealThis miter saw excels because it blends old-school power with new-school features designed to make the experience of using it easier and more pleasant. It runs off of an 1,100-watt motor that can spin a blade up to 3,800 times per minute. The stainless steel miter detent plate has 14 positive stops and a cam miter lock system that makes repeating cuts easy. The second bevel, of the saw itself, can be adjusted between 0 and 48 degrees with four positive stops, again for the sake of replicability. Its most high-tech feature is the integrated cutline, an LED work light system that “provides adjustment-free cut line indication for accuracy and visibility.” In laymen’s terms, it casts a thin line shadow of the blade onto whatever you’re cutting so you can double-check that the saw is set up properly. The oversized dust collection system collects up to 75% of the sawdust produced by this saw, making cleanup easier too.
One shopper called this saw “well made and very accurate but also quick to change from cut to cut.” The shadow light took some tweaking, but it’s “a great feature” that helps make this saw “fast, easy, and accurate for my needs.”
Another customer, a longtime fan of DeWalt, reported that this saw is “durable, well thought out, and very dependable.” Its “cut quality is great, and the grip is very ergonomic and comfortable.”
