A miter saw is the best way to make lots of quick, accurate cuts in two-by-fours, baseboards, and other pieces of wood. Put simply, no manual saw is as fast and no other power saw as accurate. Right now, Amazon has a well-reviewed cordless miter saw from a beloved brand on sale for nearly $200 less than usual.
The DeWalt 20V Max Cordless Miter Saw is on sale for $329, 37% off its $519 list price. That price is for the bare tool only, but you can grab a compatible battery starting at around $50 each. You probably don’t need one with massive capacity either; DeWalt says a middle of the road 4.0Ah model provides an average of 183 cuts of two-by-four pine or 275 cuts of 3-1/4-inch pine baseboard.
Rare DealThis saw features an adjustable stainless steel miter detent plate with 11 positive stops to ensure cutting accuracy and improve productivity. The bevel scale is similarly designed to make adjustments accurate and simple to do. The whole thing weighs just 31.6 pounds and can be folded up for safe and easy carrying from jobsite to jobsite.
One 40+ year veteran contractor called this tool “a great second saw for portability” on multiple floors and in tight spaces. They “highly recommend this” and have “absolutely no regrets” about a tool that excels in “value, portability, ergonomy, and power/battery ratio.”
Another satisfied customer in the woodworking business called this miter saw a “little jewel” of a tool that can “precisely cut very small wood moldings.” Instead of lugging 12-inch saws as they have for years, they bring this saw into the field. “It’s very easy and light to pack, and I love the lighted line feature.”
