Amazon Prime Day is a great day to get big-ticket items with steep discounts, but it’s also a great day to stock up on the less heralded stuff that’s no less important, stuff like the power tool batteries that make that new drill or saw you’re eyeing actually useful. Right now, those whose power tool collections lean yellow and black can get a 4-pack of batteries on sale with a worthwhile discount.
The DeWalt 20V Max Battery 4-Pack is on sale for $129 at Amazon, 28% off its normal $178 price tag. This deal is good on the pack that comes with one pair of 4.0Ah batteries and one pair of 2.0Ah batteries; another, that swaps out the 4.0Ah batteries for 5.0Ah models is also on sale, albeit for $271.
Rare DealBoth the 2.0Ah batteries and the slightly chunkier 4.0Ah batteries come clearly labeled, and weigh in at a paltry 1 and 1.4 pounds, respectively. All four batteries are compatible with all DeWalt 20V Max tools and chargers, over 300 tools with more being added all the time.
They also include fuel gauge LED charge indicators, a trio of lights activated by a button for a quick glance at how much juice they have left, and a 3-year limited warranty. Put simply, this is an easy, heavily discounted way to stock up on enough high-quality, first-party DeWalt batteries to ensure that you’ll never be sitting around waiting for a battery to charge instead of getting things done.
“If you are a homeowner, this is a great way to boost your battery count,” wrote one shopper. “This is a great package to pick up” for “light DIY projects.” They’ve performed well in “drills, saws, weed whackers, and more” and are “a steal when they go on sale.”
Another customer who went to the trouble of taking these batteries apart called them “excellent” with “sturdy construction, thick conductors, and six spot welds on every cell connection,” which apparently is quite a good figure.
