The average angle grinder isn’t built to cut through the reinforcing bars — better known as rebar — used to add strength to concrete structures. Thankfully, the DeWalt 20V Max 4-1/2-Inch Cordless Angle Grinder is far from average, slicing through up to 56 pieces of 1/2-inch rebar on a single charge. It’s also available for less than many of the average angle grinders out there right now, with Amazon offering it at a discount of nearly 30% for a limited time.
This angle grinder normally retails for $179, putting it in the middle of the pack in terms of price compared to other cordless DeWalt angle grinders. But if you buy it now, you’ll save over $50, since Amazon is currently selling it for only $128. It’s a fantastic price, especially when you consider it retailed for almost $200 as recently as early 2026.
28% OffAlthough you probably aren’t going to find yourself using this angle grinder to make light work of rebar very often, you will appreciate all the power it can provide. It features a mighty brushless motor that reaches speeds up to 9,000 RPM and delivers up to 850 MWO. This will come in handy when you’re cutting stubborn bolts from underneath cars, removing rust from metal surfaces, and tackling a wide range of other tasks.
You will also be pleasantly surprised by how light this angle grinder is compared to similar models. It only weighs about 3.5 pounds without a battery, so you shouldn’t have to worry about it making your hands, wrists, and arms feel fatigued when you’re working on projects with it.
You will love how safe this angle grinder is, too. It boasts several key safety features, such as a kickback brake and an anti-rotation e-clutch system, to provide the protection you need at all times. As part of DeWalt’s Protect and Perform collection, these features are designed to stop its wheel from spinning immediately if it ever senses bind-ups.
Still, it’s the size and power of this angle grinder that stand out most to Amazon reviewers. “It’s lightweight and powerful,” one wrote. “It can actually be carried right in a backpack for truly mobile operation.”
They have also praised this power tool for being more hassle-free than others. “It works great and doesn’t present any issues,” another reviewer added. “I’m so happy with this purchase.”
