Amazon has discounted many top Craftsman tools for the start of spring, marking down everything from reciprocating saws to socket sets from one of the best tool brands in the business. It isn’t the only retailer marking down tools from Craftsman, either, as Lowe’s also has quite a few on sale at the moment.
The Craftsman Overdrive 121-Piece Mechanics Tool Set immediately stands out to us as one of the leading deals on Craftsman products at Lowe’s. It normally sells for $199, but from now through May 6, the retailer has it on sale for only $139. If you would prefer to buy the set at Amazon, you can also score it for the same price there.
Selling FastThis mechanics tool set comes from Craftsman’s Overdrive lineup, which was introduced in 2023 to provide both professional and at-home mechanics with high-performance tools for tackling jobs in tight spaces. It consists of three 180-degree ratchets that minimize arc swing, a comprehensive collection of 56 SAE and metric sockets, 10 wrenches, 16 hex keys, 30 specialty bits, and a handful of other worthwhile accessories.
Many of the tools are equipped with Craftsman’s proprietary Tight Torque Technology, enabling you to remove stubborn fasteners that have been rounded or damaged in the past. They’re also constructed from heavy-duty alloy steel to withstand even the most difficult challenges and polished with a gunmetal-chrome finish for a sleek look and rust resistance.
Plus, Craftsman makes it extremely easy to keep all 121 pieces in this set accessible and well-organized. They feature quick-find markings, allowing you to identify them in a split second, and they’re packaged in a hard case for safekeeping.
“I absolutely love this high-quality set,” one reviewer wrote. “Its tools hold up well, even during very demanding auto repairs.”
Another shopper agreed with this assessment, writing, “It’s a solid set for automotive work. It comes with plenty of sockets, wrenches, and ratchets, and the hard case locks in four spots to keep everything secure inside.”
