If you spent the spring and summer thinking about buying an electric bike but didn’t ultimately purchase one, you may have done yourself a favor. The best time to order one is actually right now, since plenty of retailers are offering great post-summer discounts on e-bikes. Don’t wait too long to take advantage of these deals, though, because with the holiday season suddenly right around the corner, e-bikes are likely to start selling out soon, especially those listed at over 50% off.
The Xkj Folding Electric Bike is a great e-bike for anyone buying one for the first time, and thanks to a discount of over 60%, you can currently get one for almost $300 off its regular retail price at Walmart. It normally costs $450 but is marked down to only $170, plus $40 for shipping, which explains why it’s attracting tons of interest and is “in 500+ people’s carts” at the moment.
Standing about 41 inches tall and nearly 44 inches long, this e-bike supports up to 265 pounds and is ideal for adults and teenagers alike. It features a powerful 500W brushless motor that helps it reach a top speed of 20 MPH, three riding modes — full electric, assisted pedaling, and regular pedaling — and a 48V 12Ah battery that can carry you 20-plus miles on a single charge.
As one reviewer puts it, this e-bike also includes “plenty of bells and whistles” not always found in other options. For example, it boasts a super-bright headlight, dual-disc brakes, and a shock-absorbing suspension system for added safety. It also has a smart LCD display to monitor remaining battery life and a convenient rear basket for carrying cargo. Plus, it folds up neatly, so you can store it securely without taking up too much space at home or in your car’s trunk.
“It rides like a dream,” one shopper wrote. Another added, “It’s an absolute blast to ride.”
“This bike is nice to use for short rides to work or to the store when you need to pick up a few small items,” a third reviewer said, before pointing out its cost-cutting potential. “You don’t have to worry about wasting gas to take quick trips down the street anymore.”
