A good set of screwdrivers is the foundation of any arsenal of hand tools, an essential for home improvement and automotive repairs alike. If your screwdriver collection leaves something to be desired — perhaps you’re not quite sure where your #2 Phillips has gone — then you’d do well to grab a comprehensive set from a trusted brand at a very low price.
The Craftsman 12-Piece Screwdriver Set is on sale for $25 at Amazon, a 34% discount from its list price of $38. This deal is only good on the newer version of this set that looks functionally very similar, if not identical to the older one.
Top SellerThis set includes 11 screwdrivers: five slotted sized from a stubby 1/8 inch to a 6-inch long 5/16 inch, five Phillips from size #0 to size #3, and an offset screwdriver with both slotted and Phillips heads. It also comes with a dual magnetizer/demagnetizer. The 10 handled screwdrivers are made of steel with black oxide tips for durability and a screw grip along with ergonomic polypropylene handles. They’re designed to be held at the base for maximum speed, at the top of the handle for maximum torque, and just below the head for maximum precision. These screwdrivers are covered by Craftsman’s full lifetime warranty.
One shopper, who also happens to be an engineer, wrote that this set is “an excellent addition to any toolbox” because it “includes a well-balanced variety of Phillips and slotted screwdrivers in multiple sizes, covering almost every common application.” The tools combined “performance and comfort in one reliable package,” which is all you can really ask from a set of screwdrivers.
Another customer called these screwdrivers “easy to grip” and “well-made and durable.” They’re “high-quality tools” and this set contains an “excellent variety of sizes.”
