On days where there isn’t a natural breeze offering some relief from warm temperatures, a good fan can provide needed relief. And whether it’s placed above the deck, in the garage, or even inside a storage shed that doubles as a workshop, a wall mount fan rated for outdoor use won’t occupy valuable floor space or deteriorate in the elements. A well-reviewed example of such a fan is on sale right now at Amazon with a major discount, just in time to help you breeze your way through the rest of the summer.
The Bilt Hard 14-Inch High Velocity Outdoor Wall Mount Fan is on sale for $60 at Amazon, 40% off its normal $100 price tag. You can also grab a two-pack for the same per-fan price or a larger, 20-inch model with a lesser discount, down to $80. We think the smaller fan should work for most people’s needs, as it’s a well-made product that’s quite powerful for a fan of its size.
40% OffWhat sets this fan apart from most others on the market is the ability to use — and leave — it outside. It has a sealed, permanently lubricated industrial motor that, along with the powder-coated steel housing, protects internal components. It’s also IPX4 waterproof and reliable both indoors and outdoors. It comes with all the necessary hardware for mounting on a wall or ceiling along with a 9-foot power cord to reach to a far-off outlet and a 2-foot pull chain for simple cycling between three speeds and off.
Pros
- IPX4 certified for water resistance and ETL labeled for safety
- Includes hardware for ceiling or wall installation, saving floor space
- Three speed settings 1,600, 2,400, and 3,000 cubic feet of air circulation per minute
Cons
- Needs to be mounted to use, so you can’t move it around easily
- No remote, so all control is via a 2-foot pull chain
“This fan works great and moves a lot of air,” one shopper wrote. “I’ve been using it outdoors, and after about 10 months it’s still in very good condition.” It’s a “sturdy and reliable” fan that “does a great job keeping the area cool.”
Another customer mounted this fan to the roof trusses of their boat dock, and they’re just as happy with its performance. “It moves a lot of air and is fairly quiet” and “the mount is sturdy and allows plenty of adjustment.”

While it’s usually more of an issue in enclosed spaces, backyards can also suffer from a lack of pleasant breezes, particularly when there are lots of houses, fences, and other barriers to a breeze passing through. The Bilt Hard 14-Inch High Velocity Outdoor Wall Mount Fan is a great way to ensure that there’s always air circulating while you’re relaxing outside. This sale, which has brought its price down to just $60, is a great chance to upgrade your outdoor space for the rest of the summer and beyond.
