A good fan is a non-negotiable for anyone who spends lots of time in an unconditioned space like a garage or shed-based workshop. That’s especially true in the summer months, of course, but don’t sleep on a shop fan as the best way to clear out any chemical fumes that might try to stick around after a project. Of course, space is also at a premium in most workspaces, which is why a wall-mounted industrial fan makes even more sense. Right now, Walmart has a well-reviewed fan that fits the bill on sale with a major discount.
The Achazel 18-Inch Industrial Wall Mount Fan is on sale for $50 at Walmart, 44% off its normal $90 price tag. A 20-inch version is also on sale with a 35% discount, but the specs on the smaller model make it a good choice for 400 to 500 square feet spaces, making it enough fan for most.
44% OffAt the heart of this fan is a permanent split capacitor motor, an efficient, reliable, and inexpensive option that’s commonly found in residential HVAC systems, fans, and appliances. It can circulate 2,600, 3,400, and 4,300 cubic feet of air per minute depending on which speed you choose by pulling the chain that hangs from the bottom of the unit. It’s a versatile fan, with 180 degrees of adjustable tilt and easy wall or ceiling installation with the included mounting hardware. It also makes just 51 dB of sound, roughly the same as a normal conversation, so you won’t go deaf when you turn it on. This fan has a powder-coated metal frame and cage, so it will stand up to the bumps that can come with garage or workshop use.
One shopper loves that this fan is “very powerful” and “stays in the position you tilt it to.” Plus, “the fan blades are quite thin but sturdy,” and it “seems well-built” overall.
Other satisfied customers added that it’s a “very cool fan on a hot day in my garage” that “circulates air nicely” and “cools me down in seconds.”
