Overview
The 2026 Ram 1500 RHO is a high-performance full-size pickup truck that occupies the spot vacated by the 2024 TRX and sits above the Rebel in the lineup. RHO stands for Ram High Output, and that means 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque from its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline 6-cylinder engine – beating the standard F-150 Raptor on output and undercutting it on price. It features Baja-ready suspension, but retains the comfortable, high-quality cabin the Ram 1500 is known for, and will be ideal for performance truck lovers who don’t want to sacrifice daily comfort.
What’s New for 2026?
Ram keeps the mechanical formula the same for the 2026 1500 RHO, except for the availability of a new dealer-fit MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust, which should address some complaints about the new Hurricane I6 engine sounding too tame compared to the old TRX’s supercharged V8. The only other change that relates to the mechanical part of things is the extended 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty now applied to the 2026 RHO.
Ram adds five new paint colors: Delmonico Red, Molten Red Pearlcoat, Silver Zenity, Canyon Lake, and Serrano Green, while dropping Hydro Blue Pearlcoat, Flame Red Pearlcoat, and Granite Crystal Metallic Pearlcoat. The 2026 Ram 1500 RHO’s price is $74,090.
Exterior
The RHO is clearly built for dirt with its attention-grabbing stance, with wide fender extensions, blacked-out exterior trim, a textured upper grille, hood heat extractors, and a functional hood scoop with marker lights. The menacing look is further reinforced by black badging, sharp LED headlights, black 18-inch alloys with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler tires, and dual black 5-inch exhaust outlets. Eighteen-inch beadlock-capable wheels are available.

Interior
Like other Ram 1500s, the RHO’s cabin is arguably still the best of any full-size pickup, with plush materials, excellent insulation, and many features, here including leather upholstery, heated 12-way power front bucket seats, a leather-trimmed flat-bottomed steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and paddle shifters. Available reclining rear seats improve cabin comfort even more, with a massive 45.2 inches of rear legroom.
In-car tech comprises a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, dual wireless charging pads, and a 9-speaker audio system. You can upgrade to a 14.4-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch passenger display, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- 540 hp delivers thrilling acceleration (0-60 in 4.6 seconds)
- Bilstein adaptive suspension excels both on-road and off
- Premium interior quality well above competitors
- Strong value with more standard hp than Ford Raptor
- Industry-leading 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty
Cons:
- 15 MPG combined is thirsty, even for the class
- Premium fuel required
- High ground clearance makes entry difficult without running boards
- Only one cab and bed configuration available
- No V8 rumble for traditionalists
Verdict
Losing the supercharged V8 of the TRX does not mean that the RHO has lost the plot. The Hurricane I6 is a superb engine with superior fuel economy, explosive straight-line speed, and a broad torque curve, and the RHO is as rapid as it is planted, thanks to the adaptive suspension and Bilstein Black Hawk e2 dampers borrowed from the TRX. It will Baja blast with the best, while keeping you fresh on your morning commute.
The RHO is very compelling next to the F-150 Raptor, because it’s cheaper, more comfortable, more powerful, and has a more premium and refined cabin. Even with the expensive Level 1 Equipment Group added, it’s only a touch more expensive than the Ford, but laden to the gunwales with tech, including the massive screen, passenger display and much, much more. Even without it, the RHO may be the most compelling performance truck in the segment.
