2025 Genesis GV80 undercuts its significantly pricier German competitors while equaling their qualities

Considering a BMW X5 lease? Brace yourself. The monthly tab is enough to make you check your pulse or your 401(k). If that number sends you scrambling for a stiff drink, direct your gaze toward the 2025 Genesis GV80. Even its most expensive lease undercuts its Bavarian rival. And Genesis has fluffed its plumage for 2025 with a new double-mesh grille, enlarged air vents, fresh headlights, and wheel designs ranging from 20 to 22 inches. Out back, a nip here and a tuck there allows this SUV to age as gracefully as a movie star. Inside, you get a 27-inch OLED screen stretching across the instrument panel, heated front seats, wireless charging, a two-tone steering wheel, and fingerprint recognition to start the car.

All models get an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which is just as well, because you’ll want traction when you find yourself testing the horsepower offered by one of two turbocharged powerplants. The 3.5T’s twin-turbocharged V6 generates 375 horsepower, while the 2.5T’s turbocharged four-cylinder’s 300 horsepower is still a crowd-pleaser. But don’t sleep on it; this lease deal makes it a sensible indulgence rather than a reckless splurge.

The 2025 Genesis GV80 lease deal, September 2025

You can lease a new four-cylinder Genesis GV80 2.5T for $509 per month for 36 months and 30,000 miles with $5,999 due at lease signing. Pining for the GV80 2.5T Select instead? That’s $540 a month, while the GV80 2.5T Advanced runs $629 a month and the Prestige fetches $699. Feeling the need for speed? The GV80 3.5T Advanced will set you back $739 a month, and the GV80 3.5T Prestige: $849 monthly.

If you already own or lease a Genesis, you’ll also be eligible for a $1,000 Loyalty Bonus or, if you own a qualifying competitive vehicle, a $1,500 Competitive Owner incentive, but residency restrictions apply. Offers good through September 30, 2025. In addition, Active Duty, Reservists/National Guard, Veterans, retired U.S. Military, and first responders are eligible for a $500 bonus towards a lease. Recent or upcoming college graduates are eligible for a $400 bonus. Finally, if you have a vehicle that sustained damage as a result of the Kerr County Flash Flood in Texas on July 2, 2025, you’re eligible for an additional $2,000 incentive. These offers are valid through January 2, 2026.

Prefer $0 down?

Not enough cash on hand to put down? Then a GV80 2.5T will run about $662 a month, while the GV80 2.5T Select costs around $692 a month, and the GV80 2.5T Advanced costs $778 a month. The GV80 2.5T Prestige costs $846 a month, the GV80 3.5T Advanced $885 a month and the GV80 3.5T Prestige, $992 a month. Whether you put money down or not, dealer contribution will affect the final price. No security deposit is required. Figures do not include tax, title, license, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance or other fees. The disposition fee is $400 for most states. Keep in mind that, when leasing, consider the monthly payment cost, taxes, and fees before signing. Lease offers vary by metro market. Final thoughts

You might not consider the Genesis GV80 in the same league as the BMW X5, Mercedes GLE, or Audi Q7. But drive one and you’ll start to wonder if the Europeans aren’t charging a stiff tariff on their badges. The GV80 delivers a ride that’s more spa day than school run, being both pampering and poised. In fact, you’ll glance twice at the window sticker to confirm they didn’t forget a digit. If your shopping list includes the usual Teutonic trio in this category, overlooking the GV80 would be like skipping dessert because you assume it can’t possibly taste good at its price. But it does.
