Competing against the best from Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW, the GV80 is a positive bargain
Thinking about leasing a BMW X5? Have you seen what it will cost? If it’s a bit too rich for your blood, consider something less expensive, not necessarily less in value or overall goodness: the 2025 Genesis GV80.

Designers have endowed the 2025 GV80 with a new double mesh radiator grille and a redesigned front fascia with bigger front air vents. It also features a revised logo, new headlights, and 20- and 22-inch wheel designs, along with a revamped rear end. The cabin has a 27-inch OLED display that houses the infotainment system and driver’s instrument cluster, nestled above a new two-tone steering wheel. A secondary touch panel on the lower instrument panel houses the climate controls. Both a new shifter design and a new screen controller are located on the center console. You can even use fingerprint recognition to start the vehicle. Power comes courtesy of a 300-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 375-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. An 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. Not surprisingly, the six-cylinder model is very popular, but its smaller sibling shouldn’t be overlooked, particularly with this lease deal.
The 2025 Genesis GV80 lease deal, August 2025

It will cost approximately $662 per month. The lease offer includes a $754 acquisition fee and a $2,786 dealer contribution. Dealer contribution may vary and could affect the actual lease payment. No security deposit is required. Figures do not include tax, title, license, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance or other fees. The disposition fee is $400 for most states. Genesis is also offering a $1,000 Signature Event Bonus for lessees who choose a 2025 GV80 from dealer stock. This offer ends September 2, 2025.

Final thoughts
You might not think that the Teutonic trio of luxury midsize SUVs would compete with the 2025 Genesis GV80, but it’s a wonderfully fulfilling ride, a daily escape machine that pampers, soothes, and carries you with a level of sophistication that should be more expensive but isn’t. If you are thinking about purchasing a midsize luxury SUV in its class, it’s well worth a look.
