The 2026 Nissan Rogue in a Nutshell
The compact crossover market is one of the most competitive segments in the world, and Nissan’s entry in this tough crowd is the Rogue. The first generation was specific to North America, but succeeding models were renamed versions of the global X-Trail.
While the X-Trail is currently in its fourth generation, the Rogue is in its third. The current model was released in late 2020 for the 2021 model year. It was then refreshed for 2024, with exterior and interior tweaks and enhanced features. For 2026, a plug-in hybrid model was introduced, although it’s a rebadged Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. The standard Rogue gets a new trim, but the rest of the range carries over unchanged.

2026 Nissan Rogue Lease Deals for April
This April, Nissan has one lease deal on the Rogue, and it looks like a good one. It’s for the mid-spec SV AWD model, and it comes to $289 for 36 months, with $4,679 due at signing. Last month’s offer was, indeed, cheaper, but that was for the front-wheel drive model only.
The mileage limit is 10,000 per year, and it’s $0.25 per mile over that. But, through Nissan’s SignatureFlex program, there is an option to buy more miles for $0.10 per mile. Enrolling in the program means a smaller penalty for exceeding mileage limits. This offer is valid until May 4, 2026.

2026 Nissan Rogue Highlights
The Nissan Rogue is offered in five trims with base prices ranging from $29,490 to $39,390. The five trims for the Rogue are S, SV, Rock Creek, Dark Armor, and Platinum. Major features include basic and advanced driver-assist systems, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument panel, and remote keyless entry. The Dark Armor trim is new this year.
SV trims and up get ProPilot Assist, while the Dark Armor and Platinum come with Nissan Safety Shield 360 standard. The Rock Creek adds all-terrain tires, unique interior and exterior styling details, and beefier roof rails. S, SV, and Dark Armor are front-wheel drive with the option of all-wheel drive. The off-road-oriented Rock Creek and Platinum get all-wheel drive standard.
Powering all trims of the Rogue is a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbo engine, regardless of whether it’s front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Power is rated at 201 hp and 225 lb-ft of torque, and it is paired with a CVT. Outside the U.S., there is a hybrid version called the X-Trail e-Power, and there’s a chance it could come stateside, possibly as the Rogue e-Power.

Final Thoughts
The Rogue offers a strong value proposition, as it’s well-equipped even in its lower trims. Its cabin is well laid out, rides well, and offers a generally pleasant driving experience. The updates were definitely welcome, and while it only has three cylinders, it’s actually an improvement over the old 2.5-liter engine. With a temptingly low lease offer, the Rogue is worth a test drive.
