The 2026 Mazda CX-90 in a Nutshell
When Mazda rolled out the CX-90 in 2023 for the 2024 model year, it nearly banished memories of the otherwise well-liked CX-9. Not that its predecessor was a bad car, but the CX-90 was a massive step up, not just in terms of size and packaging, but also in positioning. And boy did it represent the Hiroshima-based brand’s move upmarket. In some ways, it was a warning shot to the Europeans, too.
For the 2026 model year, the flagship SUV gets several key updates and upgrades. There’s more standard equipment for a better value proposition, new tech, a new color choice, and a new trim level. Oh, and for those who don’t need a third row, there’s also the CX-70.

2026 Mazda CX-90 Lease Deals for December
This month’s lease deal for the 2026 CX-90 is for the entry-level (but still well-equipped) 3.3 Turbo Select trim. It’s shockingly affordable, too, as one can lease for just $289 per month for 36 months with $6,339 due at signing.
There’s a deal for the 2025 model (3.3 Turbo Select), and it still goes for $289 for 36 months. The difference is a lower due at signing price of $6,225. For terms and conditions, it’s $0.15 per mile for all mileage over 10,000 miles per year. The offer is valid until January 5, 2026, for both 2025 and 2026 models.

2026 Mazda CX-90 Highlights
The Mazda CX-90 is offered in six different trim levels. It starts with the aforementioned Turbo Select, followed by the Turbo Preferred and Turbo Premium Sport. The three higher trims are the Turbo Premium Plus, Turbo S Premium Sport, and Turbo S Premium Plus. Prices range from $38,800 to $57,370.
All trims come standard with Mazda’s i-Activesense advanced driver assists, along with power seats at the front, widescreen infotainment, mobile phone integration, and Alexa built-in. The Turbo Preferred adds a sunroof, heated seats in the front and second rows, and 21-inch wheels. The Turbo Premium Sport then gains black exterior accents and MI-Drive modes. Go for the Turbo Premium Plus, and you get Nappa leather, 360-degree cameras, and front cross-traffic alert, while the S trims get the more powerful engine tune and more.
From the Turbo Select to the Premium Plus, the CX-90 uses a 3.3-liter turbo inline-six with mild-hybrid tech that makes 280 hp. Meanwhile, the S models have the same arrangement but with 340 hp. All-wheel drive is standard across the board, and plug-in hybrid models are also available.

Final Thoughts
It’s about the size of a BMW X7 but costs less than an X5. The Mazda CX-90 is for those looking for a more premium experience in a midsize crossover without the luxury price tag. It’s unfair to call it a cut-price pretender to the luxury marques, as its interior build and ambiance can match that of more expensive crossovers. Being a Mazda, it drives well, too, and it’s a midsize crossover that punches above its weight.
