The 2026 Kia Carnival in a Nutshell

It must’ve been a bit of a surprise when Kia entered the minvan market in the U.S in 2001 with the Sedona. The thing is, Kia has made that minivan since 1998, and it was called the Carnival. In fact, most of the world used the Carnival nameplate, with the U.S and Canadian markets sticking with Sedona for a long time.

Then, in 2021, Kia unified the name, meaning even U.S. and Canadian Kia minivans were to be called Carnival. All in all, the Carnival has had four generations, but this’s the first time it’s been used stateside. Still, the name change didn’t dent its sales. It’s still a steady seller, and the heavily facelifted and updated model for the 2025 model year further enhanced its appeal. As a result, the 2026 model carries over unchanged.

2026 Kia Carnival Lease Deals for September

There’s no shortage of lease deals for the Kia Carnival this month. If anything, you’re spoiled for choice, with plenty of options for both gas and hybrid versions of the minivan. As always with Kia, there are 24-month and 36-month lease options, all with due-at-signing prices of $3,999, regardless of engine type.

The good news this month is that monthly rates are the same for 24-month and 36-month offers. Starting with the gas models, the Carnival LX can be leased for $399 per month, while the LXS is $429 per month. Moving to the hybrids, the electrified LXS is $459 per month. It’s $0.20 per mile over 10,000 per year, and the offer is valid until September 30, 2026. As a side note, there are also lease offers for the 2027 model, and you can check these out in the official website.

2026 Kia Carnival Highlights

For the non-hybrid models, the Carnival ranges from $37,490 to $51,590 with five available trims. These variants start with the LX, followed by the LXS, EX, and SX, and top out with the SX Prestige. Moving to the hybrids, base prices range from $41,490 to $53,590.

Since there aren’t many noteworthy changes for the 2026 Carnival, we can do a quick rundown of its standard features. All come equipped with advanced driver assists, tri-zone climate control, wireless phone connectivity, remote start, and power sliding doors. The 12.3-inch widescreen display is standard, bundled with the digital cluster in a curved display. LXS, EX, and SX get eight seats, while the base LX (gas-only) and SX Prestige have seven.

Gas-fed Carnivals use a 3.5-liter V6 engine that good for 287 hp, so that’s good news for those who still prefer six cylinders in their minivan. But for those who want to save at the pump, especially with fuel prices now, the hybrid uses a 1.6-liter turbo mated to a single motor with a combined output of 245 hp. Unfortunately, neither offers all-wheel drive.

Final Thoughts

Yes, the Sienna and Pacifica have become the default choices in the minivan class, but the Carnival has a whole lot to offer. Its value proposition is strong, with base prices under $40,000, and even the hybrid is reasonably priced. It offers acres of space and a clever third-row configuration, plus it’s the only one in its class that offers both V6 and hybrid power, giving you more choice. Before heading to the Toyota or Chrysler showroom, swing by Kia first. The Carnival might be the right choice for you.
