The Tacoma has quite the reputation to uphold

The 2025 Toyota Tacoma retains its status as America’s favorite midsize pickup, offered in ascending SR, SR5, TRD Off-Road, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, Limited, and Trailhunter trim. It comes in XtraCab or Double Cab configurations with up to 10 inches of ground clearance and a choice of a five-foot or six-foot bed.

A 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, dubbed i-Force, generates 228 horsepower on the SR, 278 horsepower in other trims with the 8-speed automatic transmission, and 270 horsepower with the 6-speed manual transmission. If that’s not enough power, there’s also an i-Force Max, which incorporates the turbo four into a hybrid driveline, resulting in 326 horsepower with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive, although you have to opt for a Double Cab to get the manual gearbox or i-Force Max driveline. Payload is rated at 1,380-1,710 pounds, depending on model, while towing maxes at 6,500 pounds. EPA combined fuel economy runs 20-24 mpg using 87 octane. If all of these specs make you feel like you absolutely need a Tacoma in your driveway, Toyota has a hot lease this month.

Final thoughts

If you need the capability of a midsize pickup and the promise of reliability that goes with the Toyota name, it’s hard to resist the allure of Toyota’s June leases, which expire at month’s end.
