It's hard not to feel sorry for the bear in the video below. The poor critter gets nailed pretty hard while ambling across a Russian highway. Despite an impact at what looks to be at least 40 miles per hour, the big bear does his best impression of a breakdancer before shrugging off the hit and scampering for the hills. There's no telling what sort of internal damage the animal suffered due to the collision, but we imagine the offending car didn't get away so easily. With parts bouncing off of the highway in every which direction, it looks and sounds like there was plenty of damage.

You can watch the cringe-inducing clip below for yourself thanks to the ever-present Russian dash cam. We've found cranking some techno in the background helps add some levity to the impact.

Why is it every Russian-type guy/thug is wearing a blue Addidas warm up Jacket with white stripes? First noticed it in the movie "Behind Enemy Lines", with Owen Wilson.

That was and is the Russian thug's uniform for the last 25+ years. Adidas top and bottom with stripes. Very very popular over there.

This might be rather crazy and far fetched theory, but isn't it kinda comfortable?

Not sure why this site is increasingly feeling the need to post this type of video. I come here for auto news - not to see the gore posted simply because it was caused by a car or captured on a dashcam. I didn\'t watch this video (or the one of the American soldiers being killed in the plane crash) but if the bear got hit at 40mph, it\'s gonna be dead.

Watch the video instead of pointing out why your assumptions are incorrect.

Are you trying to make a point by posting a comment for an article you wish didn't exist? That point is not coming across very well, because you can avoid/ignore the articles you don't like by reading the headlines. ...Just in case you didn't realize that.

Slow news days happen. I'll take a little entertainment as filler.

The dashcam of the Russian meteor strike or that guy getting thrown clear out the truck windshield and landing safely on the ground - that was interesting. Witnessing the maiming/killing of people or animals? No, that doesn\'t constitute entertainment in my book.

If you call that "gore," you seriously need to lighten up in life. Visibly, the bear was fine. Dont want to watch? Then dont, no one is forcing you and we're kinda annoyed youre crying about it

Not sure if Russia really has the resources, but if it happens here if you can actually notify the state division of Wildlife and they can sometimes find the animal nearby, tranq it, and get it treated. They wouldn't do anything for a deer, but for a bear they might make the effort and get him to a vet, tagged, and released.

Thanks AB, i really want to see a bear get hit by a car. Classy. And for the record i did not view it, but had to comment that this is in poor taste regardless that it was OK.

I take it you couldn't bear to watch it. Anyone glorifying this by watching should bear some type of guilt. I am afraid many will see your argument bearly plausible however....video pawage removal is difficult at best. Bearing witness to this....I hope your endeavor will bear fruit and you will bear success nonetheless. I've always heard russian freeways are pretty unbearable......obviously just more russian propaganda.

That bear is long gone. They way Boo Boo sees it, he just got his ass handed to him. He may not be able to drive off- could have taken out a radiator, etc.
