Stephan Winkelmann with Lamborghini Estoque concept – Click above for high-res image gallery

The incorporation of Lamborghini into the Volkswagen Group has certainly done a lot for their drivability, but we wouldn't exactly call a Gallardo or Aventador an "everyday supercar." But according to reports quoting the company's affable chief executive, Stephen Winkelmann, Sant'Agata Bolognese is set to add a new range of models to deliver exactly that.

The Lamborghini CEO was speaking at a Reuters conference, where he declared that a third model line was under development – one that "has to be an everyday car." Although he would not confirm in which segment the new car would compete, he did indicate that it would benefit from synergies within the VW Group.

The declaration is being widely reported as confirmation of a production version of the Estoque concept, a sensational four-door show car that Lamborghini unveiled way back at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The Estoque's production is tipped to share underpinnings with the next-generation Porsche Panamera, Audi A9 and a new Bentley four-door coupe.

Gorgeous machine. Please don't change a thing. This would have been on my wall front & center as a 10yr old!

I'm surprised that most people like that 2008 concept. I think it looks like someone welded a home-made Lambo onto a Dodge Challenger. Nothing about it looks right or attractive to me. I'll take the Aston Martin Rapide any day over that thing.

The rear half works, the front half looks like arse. Sorry, Lambo, your typical front clips just dont look good on a sedan. Make something sexy to compete with a Quattroporte, and Ill be convinced.

Lovely car. Lots of rich folks are gonna buy this. If you are a noveau riche with hideous taste by all means go for the Aventador.

Oh yuck. It's almost as bad as a stretched Lambo limousine. Learn from the Aston Martin team to stretch a coupe the right way.

I could see this working out. Fix up the Estoque a bit, and take some ideas from Aston Martin, and there we go. Don't, however take any hints from the designer of the Porsche Panamera. If you want to look in the VW Group, find the guy who did the A7. Genius. I know people who want a 'daily driver' Lamborghini, or wanted their Lamborghini and sedan wrapped in one. Something cool? Suicide scissor doors. That would be incredible. And don't lose the bucket seats.
