Custom 2011 Mustangs at the SEMA Show - Click above for high-res image gallery

We've seen Explorers, Fiestas and even an F-Series Super Duty, but of course, the car with the biggest showing on Ford's SEMA stand is the Mustang. In fact, the automaker is displaying nine examples of its pony car, showing a wide range of customization options.

Starting things off in-house, Ford has provided us with a glimpse of what is possible through its Vehicle Personalization program. The VP 'Stang wears wheels, rear window louvers, a rear spoiler and a handful of other items that are all for sale at FordAccessoriesStore.com. Besides the in-house car, Ford handed the Mustang off to Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell, MRT, Creations n' Chrome, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, Mobsteel, Raceskinz, Street Scene Equipment and Tjin Edition.

Funk Flex, who at this point probably holds an executive position back in Dearborn, designed his Mustang for rapper Snoop Dogg. MRT envisioned the car as a tough street warrior. Creations n' Chrome partnered with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness for breast cancer, and painted its car Pink Chrome. Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords stays true to its name, adding a supercharger kit to the 5.0-liter engine under the hood. Mobsteel goes a different, yet similar route, by turbocharging a V6 example.

This is only a small taste of what the assorted tuners have done to the 2011 Mustang, and that's only limited to what Ford has in its display. Click through the gallery below and check out the finished products.

out of all the so called "new generation muscle cars" mustangs are the only cars that actually make me say wow that's a badass looking car. camaros just look childish...i don't know it could be just me

      BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! BEAAUUUTTIFULLL!!!

I don't like the rear ends on these new models (looks too similar to Toyota celicas!). I reckon 05-09 still got the looks!

I like the blue, white and red ones a lot!!! I think thats the way the Shelbys should look like. The current Shelby's look way overly styled to me, particularly the front ends but these look great.

I'm with you. I like those better than the rest shown here.

I'm glad to see some great looking Mustang enhancements (blacked out and the blue w/ white stripes are my favs). I'm more a Mustang fan, but do have to admit off the production line the Camaro looks a little more bad ass so it's good to see some aftermarket tidbits can help the Stang catch up.

Question. Why does Ford call the Mustang a Pony Car??
Back in '64 when Ford started advertizement for the Mustang, you were presented with a sceen where a bunch of horses galloped forward and turned into the 'stang emblem. Writers took the liberty to say they were "poneys". When the Comaro and 'cuda followed, the "poney" slang extended to all such cars of this type.

Some of those photos show off how big that car's ass has really gotten.

The rear overhang on the '10+ car is HUGE. The 05-09 was not that small, either, but smaller than these.

Why didn't the customizers re-graft an 05-09 back end on, and do some custom Cougar/Shelby tail lights, like the comparatively fly-weight-sized '04 Mustang GT concept car had.

That might be a customization worth the effort.

I like all of these. I don't care if the black Mobsteel one is undriveable...it looks awesome. Of the driveables, I think Raceskinz takes the cake.

The one by raceskinz looked really sharp, and overall, it's very difficult to mess this beautiful car up - was worried for a little bit after viewing the photoshop sema previews.
