Episode 2 of JT, Dania Ramirez and the Audi A1 in The Next Big Thing – Click above to watch video after the jump

You see that look on Justin Timberlake's face? It's called Acting – yes, italicized and with a capital "A" – and you need to get ready to see it like you've never seen it before. Timberlake is bringing his best Stanislavski chops to episode two of Audi's short film series for the A1, The Next Big Thing. There are plenty more chases, guns, and Dania Ramirez to follow up from episode one, and the plot and everything else is getting thick as Vermont maple. So don't waste any more time – follow the jump and check it out.

Anyone else notice that it appears to be an automatic A1 at 1:23 then shortly after appears to be a manual again.
Also, the person pulling the handbrake in the manual doesn't have a jacket on! :P

Does not matter if they meant it to be a schlock sendup, those clips were awful. Could not even get thru 1/2 of the longer one.

      bad start for the series.

Hey, AUDI! Money poorly spent! What's the message? Vapid at best and the "acting"...there are better ways to spend your advertising dollars!
I have no idea what they're trying to show with this... absolutely no idea. Any BMW or Mini commercial has a nice, fun message in it, that's subtle but evident at the same time. This is some sort of crap.

That was pretty lame. He's no Clive Owen and that was no BMW, despite their obvious attempt to copy the series .

One thing I find stupid about car chase scenes--especially those that try to emphasize the car's handling, is when the chasing car keeps up. For the majority of the chase, the Crown Vic is able to hug the rear bumper of the A1. I guess that means the Crown Vic handles as well as the A1? Instead, the scenes should be shot so that the A1 continually out-handles a multitude of Crown Vics. Fail.

Reminds me of the horrendous Knight Rider reboot, where pursuing Ford Edges would keep up with the GT500KR.

      That Crown Vic kicks ass!

they got rid of jason statham for this amateur?

horrible acting. He did ok on SNL though.

I froze the 2nd video at 40 seconds. lol
Noooo, you missed the best part (besides that the Audi A1 is bullet-proof). "I'll co-ordinate your ass if you don't move" (then choke hold)!

Timeberlake should stick to boy bands and stay away from acting. He is gawdawful.

The girl on the other hand, luscious...

@homunculus: Yes it was. As I was watching Audio piss poor attempt at an 'action infomercial' I was thinking the same thing.

this is such a clear rip off of BMW's film series!!... and quite cheesy too. the BMW film series was great, my first intro to Clive.

not only is the idea a rip off, but they used some of the same shoot locations! in the "Star" film, Clive drives a M5 beside the bad guys SUV and then pulls in front and pulls a u-turn. same shoot location! if you've seen "Star" you'll know which one.

        Audi FAIL!!
The only redeeming feature of this "film" is the girl.

To date the best ad for Audi is still the S8 in Ronin.

        great perverted minds think alike.

this reminds me, the hire was such an awesome bmw ad, especially compared to this.
