If Jay Leno were a Ferrari McLaren F1, Conan O'Brien would be a Ford Taurus SHO. Now hold on, that's not an insult to Conan, who just took over Jay's hosting duties on The Tonight Show. It's an actual fact: Jay owns a McLaren F1 and Conan drives a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO.

Conan's SHO has appeared on his... uh, show... a number of times in the past, though the most memorable cameo was this skit back in the Late Night with Conan O'Brien days. More recently, the SHO appeared on Conan's first episode hosting The Tonight Show, having made its way with the comic from New York to LA for the new gig.

As we all know, the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO is here and trying hard to revive the same excitement that the original used to snare such high profile owners as Conan O'Brien (and myself). So, of course we've been wondering when Conan's going to drop some coin on a 2010 SHO to replace the old one. While we don't know if he's actually going to buy one, we do have confirmation from Ford that the 2010 Taurus SHO will appear in a skit on The Tonight Show this evening with Conan. So set your DVRs to 11:30PM EST on NBC, and if that doesn't work, check back here tomorrow for a clip of the skit.

A Fusion SVT would have been closer to the old SHO than the new SHO which is too big.

        Oh jeez, not this again...

If you really think that then please, go buy a Fusion Sport. Put your money where your mouth is. I know it doesn't have a manual but it's lighter, smaller and it even has 50hp more than the original SHO. Just PLEASE stop bringing up the non-existant Fusion SHO. I'm sick of hearing it. The new SHO is what it is, and it's a great car.

Too bad Conan's SHO has a proper manual, while the new SHO offers nothing of the sort. It may be a "high performance" automatic, but there's nothing as engaging as driving around in your SHO with a proper manual.

On the upside, no chowder on the mirrors this time!

The taurus sho is a fine car, but it's a "taurus sho" in name only. The orinal car begged you to take it into the turns... from all the reviews I've read, the new one, while competent, makes it's weight felt.

Its a shame that Americans seem to only care about out in boring straight Lines.

I thought there was rumors of Conan dropping his Taurus since he moved to LA in favor for a new Acura TL. I remember seeing that car in a few of the episodes.

I might be mistaken but I think Leno doesn't own any Ferrari. For some reason he doesn't like them. He owns a few lambos, porsche, a mclaren... but to the best of my knowledge and from his site at www.jaylenosgarage.com there is no ferrari in his current collection.

For some reason I see a drag race between the two and Conan losing in a cloud of smoke. Add in some hilarity before and after and wham decent skit. Like to see Ford persuing advertising outside the normal channels if you will.

I'm guessing the publicity Ford gets from this earns Conan a free one. Leno got the Ford GT so I don't think he's too interested.

Skit was hysterical. The new SHO is sweet.. Although I cant take turns. All Americans care about is going in a straight Line. :(

Excellent. I still miss my old '91 "minus" model...and my 90...and my other 90.

Can't wait to see what Conan does.

      Conan:

You have the real, exciting, nimble, efficient SHO.

DO NOT buy this porky, bland imposter that Ford calls SHOW.
How can you not like Ford? They are the only responsible American car company left. Plus there cars are NOW above par. Other American companies? Well... Just go drive one and you see why they aren't selling.

Seems Like your not the smart one to me..
