Gemballa Mirage GT Matte Edition -- Click above for a high-res gallery

First, there was the Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition, soon followed by the Gemballa Mirage GT Gold Edition. And now, there's a third version that's just slightly different on the outside, but it's the one we'd buy if we had a spare Porsche Carrera GT, an extra $300k in an off-shore account and an economy that didn't put the kibosh on conspicuous consumption -- or we lived in Dubai. Behold, the Gemballa Mirage GT Matte Edition.

It's everything that the other Mirage GT Editions boast -- 3.7-second 0-to-60, 208 mph top speed, 670 horses -- but it's nasty, as in Doom on Wheels, with nothing but silver accents over light-eating black paint. A shame about the blue-on-blue alcantara interior, though... You can check it out in the high-res gallery below, but please, don't make it angry.

It seems like there are more tuner versions of this car than the original.

I think they just keep repainting the same one until someone buys it!

Somehow... Gemballa has been able to create more examples of tuner edition Carrera GT's then Porsche made examples of the original car!

      Porsche Carrera GT's built: 1,270
      Gemballa Mirage GT bult: 1,271

I don't care for the front or interior, but the side and rear are absolutely menacing.

At first glance I was shocked: a Gemballa that isn't completely embarassing and is only medium-tacky?

Then I looked again and saw that they went with 'fluorescent smurf' for the interior...

JC! is there any designer working at gemballa? most probably not.
gemballa might get lucky and sell this one vehicle - since big wallets are not necessarily acompanied with taste and style.
if we all get lucky it will dissapear in some car collection and will never see daylight again... .

I would probably keep the colour, and defiantly keep their exhaust system, but the rest of the alterations just make the car look worse

Can we place a moratorium on Vader references?
I'm pretty sure LORD Vader didn't spend years in Sith training with Darth Sidious just to be called "Mister".

      Thanks.

He would also choke out anyone "Paging" him. He will let you know when he needs you.
Not to mention that LORD Vader wears gloss black, not flat. D'uh!

I like matte black cars, but mostly of the 911 variety. Not sure if it works with the GT as much. Looks cool, but 5 years from now it will just look ricey and annoying.

Hey I like it. Everyone has a different taste I guess. I like the matte black look.
